Buddy Rich

Buddy Rich Every jazz drummer is worth about a dozen rock drummers. There are exceptions (Bill Bruford, Gary Peterson) but not many. My friend Joe L gave me a demo once. He said can you play one rhythm with one hand and different rhythm with the other? I said that’s not possible, and he proceeded to demonstrate that it was possible indeed.

So Buddy Rich was a jazz drummer. This is the Compact Jazz series; it collects recordings he made during the late 50s and early 60s.
